Part I

As a San Francisco annual tradition, on April 20, 2018, nearly 20,000 people arrived at Golden Gate Park's Hippie Hill to celebrate the use of cannabis. This is the first event since the legalization of recreational cannabis. But in the meantime, debates and protests are continuing, since a medical cannabis dispensary was permitted to open on 2161 Irving Street at the Sunset district last December.

How did each district of San Francisco vote for marijuana?

A breakdown of votes for Proposition 64, which would legalize recreational marijuana in California in the November 2016 election, per district in San Francisco.

Please note that there is some overlap between districts, since these districts are determined by the state of California and not by the city of San Francisco. For example, the data separates Bernal Heights into "North Bernal Heights" and "South Bernal Heights," and lists the Sunset as "Sunset" and "Inner Sunset" respectively.
